Payment Terms: 30% T/T deposit upon contract signing; 70% T/T against copy of Bill of Lading. L/C at sight available for orders above USD 150,000.
Lead Time: 90–120 days for 4–6 color models; 120–150 days for 8–10 color models. Expedited production scheduling available on request.
Packaging: All equipment sections wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion film and packed in ISPM-15 fumigation-free wooden export cases. Machinery drawings and packing lists provided for customs clearance.
Shipping: Standard terms FOB Ningbo. We coordinate flat-rack and open-top container bookings for oversized sections. CIF, CFR, and DDP available for buyers who prefer a delivered price.

Q: What is the difference between this equipment and a standard packaging gravure press?
A: Packaging gravure presses are optimized for plastic film and coated papers with surface inks. Engineered wood surface printing equipment is specifically designed for porous, dimensionally sensitive decor base papers that absorb ink into the fiber structure. Key differences include lower web tension ranges, wider drying tunnels for water evaporation from the paper, and ink metering calibrated for paper absorption rather than film surface laydown. Using a packaging press for decor paper typically results in inconsistent ink density, register problems at high humidity, and poor penetration into base paper for downstream impregnation.

Q: Can the press produce emboss-in-register (EIR) prints?
A: Yes, when equipped with the optional EIR encoder output module. The press exports a real-time position signal that downstream embossing units use to synchronize the emboss pattern to the print. This requires the embossing unit to be EIR-compatible as well. We can advise on compatible embossing equipment partners.

Q: How many operators does the press require per shift?
A: A fully commissioned press with recipe management and auto-tension can be operated by 2 trained personnel per shift — one press operator and one reel handler / ink mixer. During the first 3 months of production we recommend 3 operators per shift while the team builds confidence with the equipment.

Q: Is it possible to add an inline coating unit to apply a base coat or primer before printing?
A: Yes. An inline flexo or gravure coating station can be added as the first unit to apply aqueous primer or titanium dioxide ground coat before the decorative color stations. This is commonly used for very thin tissue papers (below 50 g/m²) that need a sealing coat to prevent excessive ink strike-through.

Q: What foundation requirements does the press need?
A: A reinforced concrete floor with a flatness tolerance of ±2 mm over 5 m and a load-bearing capacity of at least 5 t/m² is standard. We supply foundation layout drawings with hold-down bolt positions during the pre-installation phase, typically 60 days before shipment, so civil works can be completed before the equipment arrives.
