Q: What cylinder repeat length is needed for wide-plank flooring patterns?
A: Popular wide-plank oak and walnut patterns typically require cylinder circumferences of 750–950 mm to avoid a visible repeat seam in a standard 1,200 mm floor plank. Our presses support cylinders up to Ø 302 mm (950 mm circumference), which covers virtually all commercially available flooring pattern designs.

Q: How does EIR synchronization work in practice with a downstream embossing unit?
A: The press outputs an encoder pulse train proportional to web speed. The embossing unit's servo controller uses this signal to phase-lock the emboss roll rotation to the print pattern. Initial phase alignment is set manually during changeover using a registration mark on the paper; thereafter the system maintains alignment automatically even through speed changes and splices.

Q: Can this press print SPC flooring PVC film as well as paper?
A: Yes. With PVC film tension profiles loaded into the recipe system and the drying tunnel temperature reduced to 80–100 °C (to avoid film deformation), the same press can print 0.07–0.15 mm PVC decorative film for SPC and WPC flooring. A corona treatment station can be added upstream of the first color unit to improve ink adhesion on film substrates.
