A: For particleboard overlay, run-average colour consistency is more important than peak precision. Q: Can the press handle the same cylinder sets as our existing press from another manufacturer?
A: Provided the cylinder shaft diameter and bearer diameter match our print unit specifications, existing cylinders can typically be used. We supply a compatibility checklist during quotation. Minor shaft modification or adaptor sleeves can be supplied if dimensions differ slightly.

Q: Is water-based ink now standard for particleboard overlay, or is solvent still common?
A: In Europe, water-based ink is now dominant for decorative paper printing driven by VOC emission regulations and sustainability commitments from major furniture retailers. In Southeast Asia and parts of the Middle East, solvent-based inks remain common. We offer both ink system configurations; for new installations in regulated markets, we recommend water-based from the outset to avoid future compliance retrofit costs.
